Someone Special

A simple conversation,

a casual reply

And my imagination,

could not help but hear you sigh.

I could not see the future

from the smile upon your face

How could I know

the person standing there

          Would be the gift of Grace.

It was something that I recognized,

inside the simple smile,

When you reached your hand out to mine

and you held it for awhile

I knew someone very special

had just walked into my life

How could I know;

that special someone,

Would so much change my life.

It was more than I imagined,

the gift that I’d been given

For I thought the hole that life had left

would only heal in heaven.  

It took all the faith I had and more,

to believe in the words of GOD

When He said she’d run on up to me

and say I was the one…

Now the journey isn't simple

and the seas were often rough,

At times it seemed the helmsman

just never would wake up,

The months of separation

seemed to tear my heart in half

I couldn’t see the preparation

GOD was making to the path.

Many use the word impossible,

to describe the love we have

An answered prayer

that only GOD

For GOD speaks to us in visions,

and HE listens to each prayer

Was the answer that He shared.
